  • Livingstone’s Freehouse (NR33 7TF)

Livingstone’s pub is one of our favourite places to eat and one of the closest to The Hollies, located near the entrance to Africa Alive Zoo. Within Livingstone’s there is also the Chai Thali: Indian restaurant. Which offer fantastic Indian cuisine most evenings. It is also dog friendly.

  • Jolly Sailors (NR33 0JS)

The Jolly Sailors is a lovely pub, which is located on the Pakefield cliffs. With beautiful views along the seafront, the pub is also very dog friendly. Offering a wide range of meals and lighter bites, they also host a wide range of live music events. The Jolly Sailors pub is walkable from The Hollies, along the cliff tops or along the beach (just keep an eye out for the tide times). If you’re driving, they also have a large car park opposite.

  • The Blue Boar (NR32 3BB)

A fantastic pub and restaurant, serving home-cooked meals and a great Sunday roast. They offer a great takeaway and delivery service as well. It is definitely worth the drive out for a great meal.

  • Peppers (NR32 1HU)

If you’re looking for a great restaurant with a fantastic nostalgic atmosphere, then Sgt. Peppers is the place for you. With a wide range of delicious food options available, this is a great family friendly option, located in the heart of Lowestoft town.

  • The Copper smokehouse (NR33 9JT)

Fancy some comfort food with a fantastic smokey taste? The Copper Smokehouse is worth a visit. Located in the heart of Oulton Broad, and on the southern gateway to the Norfolk and Suffolk broads. The perfect place to explore and experience some fantastic food.

  • The Thatch restaurant and café (NR33 0BY)

If you’re heading into Lowestoft and are looking for a lovely café/restaurant on the seafront, then The Thatch is definitely worth a visit. They sell a wide range of lovely food, including homemade cakes and pastries. The Thatch, is not dog-friendly but there is a spacious seating area outside, where dogs are very welcome.
