We are based in the perfect location, central to loads of different attractions and places to visit, suitable for the whole family.
We have compiled a list of some of our favourite places, located further afield but worth the visit!
- Great Yarmouth – A lovely seaside town, located only around 30 minutes’ drive from Kessingland. Great Yarmouth is famous for its golden mile, consisting of golden sandy beaches and a range of typical seaside attractions, including amusements, crazy golf and a brand-new viewing wheel. Great Yarmouth is also home to 2 fantastic amusement parks, Joyland (which is perfect for younger kids, located on the historical pier) and Pleasure Beach (which is suitable for all ages, children and adults alike).
- Wroxham – Located a little further out at around 50 minutes’ drive from Kessingland, it is a fantastic place which is popular due to its location right on the Norfolk Broads. Why not hire out a boat or take a trip on one of the various boat day trips, Wroxham has to offer. Wroxham barns is one of our top places to visit. With various things to keep everyone entertained, from arts and crafts and markets to a fantastic petting zoo area, where you can even feed some of the lovely animals.
- Beccles Lido (NR34 9PL) - Looking for a fun day out at the pool, look no further! Beccles Lido is a fantastic open air swimming pool, perfect for those warm summer days. With different activities to suit all, whether you are looking for a gentle lane swimming session or feeling for adventurous with their inflatable fun sessions. However, we do advise booking ahead, as it does get busy as the weather gets warmer.
- Framlingham Castle (IP13 9BP) – A great family day out to visit the historical Framlingham Castle. Just over 45 minutes from The Hollies, it is worth the drive out. Take a walk around the castle walls, stop for a bite to eat in their fantastic café and visit the exhibitions. They host various events throughout the year, so keep an eye out on their website for exact dates.
- Camel Park Oasis (IP19 0DT) – Only just over a 30 minutes’ drive away, it is the only Camel Park in the UK, which allows you to be up close with all the animals. Simply arrive and pay at the gate, so there is no need to pre-book. There is so much included in the price of your ticket, including a land train ride, pet talks, petting with a range of smaller animals. For an extra charge you can also take on a camel ride and even a llama and alpaca walks.
